Extraction Technician

Wheelhouse Labs is seeking a dedicated Extraction Technician responsible for the day-to-day operation of the extraction process using our extraction and post processing equipment. This role requires strict adherence to all safety and compliance procedures, including GMP state and local laws/ safety standards. The Extraction Technician works with and reports to the Production Manager and Lead Extraction Tech.

Job Responsibilities

  • Perform cannabis extraction and post extraction.

  • Follow all applicable policies, procedures and guidelines (including the safe and proper operation of any/all applicable machinery, instrumentation, and equipment.)

  • Daily operational and safety checks within the extraction room. 

  • Prepare raw materials for extraction. 

  • Operate CO2 extraction system for the production of cannabis extract. 

  • Work as part of a team to meet production schedules. 

  • Record data in all necessary software platforms. 

  • Perform other duties as assigned. 

 

Role Requirements

  • Experience with CO2 and/or BHO extraction.

  • Previous safety and compliance experience. 

  • Inventory tracking systems experience a plus. 

  • Familiarity with OSHA guidelines for dealing with hazardous chemicals. 

  • Ability to work efficiently and accurately.

  • Must be a minimum of 21 years of age.

  • Must pass all required background checks.
